or Rick and Kath Bailey, supporting Maryland athletics is a tradition. Rick’s interaction with the Terps began in 1957, accompanying his grandfather to football games. Today he cheers on the team from the same seats he first sat in, carrying on the love of Terrapin football with his wife and their three children. Kath, an alumna of the University of Maryland, Baltimore, became a Terps fan decades ago after she attended a game with her older brother, a Maryland student at the time. Experiences like these led the couple to begin making donations to help support the Terps.

Rick and Kath have been Terrapin Club members and donors since 1985. They became Building Partners, assisting with the construction of Comcast Center, and they recently made a gift to support the expansion of Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium.
“We are excited about the stadium expansion and what it will mean for Terrapin football,” says Rick. “It’s a great feeling to be able to invest in the future of Maryland athletics, to help maintain the great traditions for our children and others to come.”
