Setting High Standards for Accounting Majors

Beers & Cutler PLLC, a leading accounting and consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. region, sets an extraordinarily high standard for the accounting profession and applauds the commitment to excellence by others. For this reason, the firm has established the James R. Beers Scholarship Fund in the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The endowment honors founder James Beers' contributions to the accounting profession.

In addition to awarding scholarships to outstanding junior and senior accounting majors, the endowment funds two Beers & Cutler Teaching Scholarships. These awards are presented to accounting majors who spend a portion of their senior year teaching class review sessions and interacting with sophomore accounting students.
